Billy Lee Walker, 88, of Oaklandon, went to Heaven on All Saint’s Day,November 3, 2013, and, in his own right, a Saint he was. Born in Bluefield, WV, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.  Following his military career he worked 20 years for Ford Motor Company as well as owning and operating his ownbusiness, Esquire Texaco.  He had been a Sales executive for: Mr. Johns, NY Life, and Luzianne Coffee and Tea; as well asthe US Postal Service.  

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Nellie Walker;his four children, Deborah Kelly, Harry Walker, Billy J. Walker and Susan Werner; his, seven grandchildren, Cameron Sparks, Brian and Stephen Kelly, Caitlin Young, Jennifer, Heather and, Emily Adams;  eight great-grandchildren, Ethan and JessicaKelly, Sadie, Jane, Hunter and Braden Sparks, and Belle Young, as well as many nieces and nephews and others dear to him,Marcella Jackson, Kim Hickman and Greg Smith  who he “adopted”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Matilda Walker, his siblings, Charles, Harry, Joseph, Margaret Shumate, Guy, Dorothy Willis and Fred Walker.

Services to celebrate life will be held at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250 on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at noon and visitation on Monday, November 4, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 11:00 am to noon.
